"Bloodstained Lineage" is Testament's theme in Guilty Gear X, replacing "A Fixed Idea". It was later revised into a second version for Guilty Gear XX and all of its update titles, although in the Korean release of ♯Reload the theme "In the Arms of Death" plays instead.
Tumultuous, violent, and bloodcurdling loud, Bloodstained Lineage is the signature theme of Testament, the sole surviving sentient Gear of The Crusades. Insanity and neurotic paranoia are some of the words that best describe the soul of its music, while rage and death fill its guitar riffs, and repentance and guilt can be heard in its chorus. It is perhaps a darker echo to Keep Yourself Alive, appropriately given to a man turned aberration of life made to be a living weapon, and as such the antithesis of living, death. As such, even the reaper gets chills of the song that expresses the atrocities of mankind and their offspring of the Gears, and all of their unimaginable terror brought about their carnage onto the world over to dye it crimson red.
