Gig is the final boss of Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, a massive insect-like creature with an angelic figure emerging from his tail. An undetailed and unusual character, he is known to be a Gear of some sort, referred to as a male despite the female figure attached to him, and appears to be acting against his own will.

Gig displays a generally simplistic and animalistic personality, aggressively attacking anything that enters his territory. According to the Guilty Gear 10th Memorial Guide, his mental reasoning has collapsed. Yet despite that, he also presents some signs of still possessing both memory and reason.

He is shown to communicate through unintelligible, animalistic growling, but is also implied to be capable of some other form of understandable communication, requesting euthanasia from Faust after being defeated by him.

Gig's origins are mostly unknown, but according to the Memorial Guide, Gig was created by That Man, with half of his body being a failed Gear, and the other half being that of a human woman. This hints that he may be an Ancient Gear, similar to Leopaldon's. At the end of Dizzy's Story Mode, she refers to him as someone "like her", while in Sol's story, he claims the creature to have been his target, implying that a bounty may have been put on him at some point.

Most notably, Gig is shown to have some history and connection with Johnny, who refers to the creature as an 'old friend' prior to battling. He also expresses shock at Gig's current state, implying that he underwent some sort of change prior to the events of Dust Strikers.

Unlike the other characters in Dust Strikers, Gig does not fight traditionally, but rather floats up and down between the three stage levels while firing blockable projectiles, occasionally teleporting from one side to another. His weak point exists as the figure emerging from his tail. When attacked, his form changes into an egg-like object that must be attacked to deplete his remaining health.
