Novel is a supporting character in the Guilty Gear series, who is one of Johnny's crewmates. Identical to the other Jellyfish Pirates members, she wears a white shirt with a yellow tie. She also wears a red hat and glasses above her eyes.
Like the other Jellyfish Pirates members, she joins May in her in-game battle pose and her Instant Kill. She is also featured alongside May in her outro in Guilty Gear Xrd and -Strive-. Within the crew, she is tasked with maintaining all of the ship's systems, as she excels in mechanical engineering.
She is named after November, which is the month she was recruited into the pirate crew.

- Her role as an engineer could be a reference to the fact that her name in Japanese can also be read as "Nobel", as in the Swiss engineer Alfred Nobel.
- Starting from Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- May's anchor has the text "a work of Novel 2187" confirming that Novel made it & that between games May has used different anchor's.
